It is essential that actors and models have current headshots. You want to show off your best look and personality. When casting directors see your headshot, they expect you to look like the person it represents.  You should update your headshots whenever your general appearance changes due to hair color, hair length, weight gain/loss, or at least every year.  Because children change so quickly, updates are recommended every six months or so.
